Breaking it in...

Here we go again....  Bike number 6!  This is the 3rd new bike.  This one requires 1000 miles for full break in procedure...  As far as the bike, it's damn fast.  There is a vibration in the bars at highway speeds.  I hope this goes away after the bike is broken in.  Other wise, this bike is awesome.  Still waiting to for my Two Brothers carbon fiber exhaust to put on.  The funny looking Titanium exhaust has got to go...

Stepped into the dealer just to look, left 1.5 hours later with the new bike. I traded my 97 cbr900rr for 6100 and put the rest on a credit card. :) I wasn't carrying enough cash.

Oh boy... Already got pulled over for speeding. Going 50 in a 40 zone? He was nice and let me go. First time in 6 years. Even gave me some tips on riding(State trooper on motorcycle)

9/1/00 Got my Two Brothers pipe.  Sounds nice.
2/5/01 Is winter over yet?
4/15/01 Got my Lockhart Phillips Smoked windscreen.  NICE tint but it doesn't fit snuggly around the fairing like the original.  I'll have to see if there is another brand that fits better.  It definitely looks nicer than the clear windscreen.
7/5/01 Damn battery.  Won't hold a charge.  I ride about 8 miles one way to work and I think the heat finally killed the battery.  It's been a nasty summer with heat over 90 while traveling in traffic.  The bike gets really hot.  By the time I get to work the battery is so drained it won't even start.
7/6/01 Ok.  Dropped off the bike at the dealer where I purchased the bike for service on the battery/charging system.
7/9/01 Well, the battery is covered under the 1 year warranty.  Battery has to be ordered since they must use a battery supplied by Yamaha since it will be covered by the warranty.
7/18/01 What the HELL!!!  Finally got the bike back.  Can't believe it took so damn long for the battery.  Seems to be running fine now.  We'll see how long this lasts.
8/10/01 Ok... I purchased a pair of LED 1157 brake lights from Autozone.  I knew it was too good to be true.  These bulbs are by APC and they are exactly what they are named,  A Piece of CRAP.  They were cheap, 6 bucks each but they are not bright enough...  I definitely notice that they don't drain the battery like the regular bulbs but they aren't bright enough...  Don't want to use them cause I don't want to be rear ended.  Don't waste your time on these.  After surfing the web, I found a site LEDTronics that sells replacement LED 1157 bulbs.  The are definitely designed better from the way they look and describe them.  they have more LED's pointed back and even around the sides.  Hopefully they are brighter.  I will update once I get them.  Since they are over $50 dollars with shipping for one, I will only order one just to try out.  This sounds about right since LED's are actually quite expensive especially the brighter ones.
2/2002 Traded for a Ducati Monster 750!
