Breaking it in...  What a torturous process.  Much more difficult on this bike than the Yamaha R1.  Since the bikes power is not as widespread as the R1, it requires you to be in the correct gear.

Here we go again....  Bike number 7!  This is the 4th new bike.  This one requires 600 miles for full initial break in procedure...  As far as the bike, it's damn comfortable.  I traded the R1 for this cause I don't use the it to it's potential and essentially I only used it to commute to work.  This is the prefect bike.  Stock exhaust and the Mickey Mouse Mirrors will be the first to go!

Wow...  What a difference between the Yamaha R1 and my new Ducati Monster 750.  Much less power and requires you to be in the correct gear!  Much longer time to warm up especially in this cooler New England climate.  Much more comfortable than the R1.  I'm going to be very happy with this bike.  Brakes are amazing and the bike is very light with a very low center of gravity.  Perfect for a commuting vehicle.  Bike needs an aftermarket exhaust and new mirrors.  It's too quite and the Mickey Mouse mirrors bother me.  Other than that,  this is exactly what I expected.

I found a brand new Carbon Fiber Oval slip on Termignoni Exhaust for a M900 for $560 + shipping.  This exhaust is the same as the one for the 750 and 600 but it includes the injection control module for the fuel injection.  I got a GREAT deal!  Full retail price for this exhaust and module is $1129.50 at KC International.  Exhaust alone is 844.00.  I was planning on ebaying the injection control out but decided to keep it just incase I upgrade to a Monster 900.

3/18/2002 Got my exhaust today!  Took about 15 minutes to install.  Now that's what a Ducati is suppose to sound like!  Amazing...
